On the 23rd of June 2009 lewis Williams took a credited silver medal in the Welsh Closed Championships held at the W.I.S Cardiff.

He medaled again with a bronze two weeks later in the North Wales Open,

Robert Mbakwe also took Bronze in the under 18 section.
